About Us
Why Connections for Life was created
Connections for Life was created to fill a real gap in local support for people living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s, and just as importantly support for their family member/carers.
After a diagnosis, support can often feel very medical. What’s often missing is a safe, welcoming space to talk, laugh, feel understood, and still feel part of a community.
Connections for Life was inspired by personal experience, seeing first-hand how lonely and stressful life can feel when a loved one is living with dementia or struggling to get out and about. That understanding has shaped everything we do.
We wanted to create sessions that feel relaxed and normal, not clinical. A place where people can enjoy connection, purpose, dignity, and quality time together, while carers feel supported, included, and not forgotten.
Connections for Life has been built by listening to local families and understanding what people really want.
